Here’s a short untitled Star Wars fan fiction I wrote. I have pondered some further story, but have never gotten around to writing it. I also haven’t decided the time period to which this story belongs. Enjoy!
HE PURSUED HER. He was relentless. His black cloak danced with each twirl and twist of his body. His hood never fell off his head. His face was painted black, so that only his eyes burned through the shadow, and his teeth, when he grinned his bloodthirsty grin. Niala Ginn was on the defensive. She was constantly tiptoeing backwards at sprinting speed, each time he thrust forward in attack. She wielded a doubleblade of deep purple. It was an excellent weapon of defense. Each time he thrust his main hand saber, she would twist her blade and block. His offhand short saber was always right behind for an attempt to stab right through her. She was growing tired. She was close to stumbling. She now realized why her master had made her take a year of dance and acrobatics before she even considered training her with a blade. Her defensive stances were becoming weaker with each attack. Her opponent grinned, knowing he was coming close to beating her. He had once been Niala’s apprentice. Then one day he overpowered her during training, and he basked in that taste of aggression. He left the Jedi Enclave the next day. Niala had not seen him for quite some time. He was like a shadow. In fact, he called himself Lord Shadow. She had tracked him down to the old foundries on Geonosis. They were abandoned, with partially finished droids slumped in the dust.
His fervor had pushed her back near a line of material containers. She backflipped onto the top of them. He front flipped over her and landed on the other side, blades in attack. She leaned back to avoid his attack and ended up falling into a roll. She landed back on her feet. His blades had torn her robes so that they were barely on her. Shadow paused for a moment. He grinned and reached into the Force, attempting to pull her robes off. She instead took the moment to go on the offensive. She caught him off guard by pulling him toward her with the Force and at the same moment heaving her blade at him. It nearly ran him through. He blocked with his off hand blade, but the force of the strike caused him to drop it on contact. Both blades clanked to the ground, and he was falling off balance with only his main hand blade. She used the moment to Force-grip him. He dropped his other saber and clutched at his throat. She closed her eyes and sat down, losing herself in the realm of the Force. He began turning colors. In his bloodlust, he did not possess the focus need to break her grip. She considered taking it to his death, but recognized the lure of the Darkside and dropped him when he lost consciousness.
“What now?” She pondered, knowing that if she did not kill him he would awake and kill her. She focused for a moment, using the Force to manipulate the material of her robes, effectively mending them. She glanced over at Lord Shadow. His breathing was calming, he would be conscious soon. She gathered up his blades and put them on her side, she then found hers. Still unignited, she placed it bladeside onto his forehead and waited. He regained consciousness and started to move until he realized where she had him. He relaxed and focused on her eyes.
“So, Jedi…” he put emphasis on that word and let it hang. “Are you going to kill your defenseless prisoner, and so embrace the call of the Darkside, or will you be weak and let me live, so sealing your own doom?”
“Mercy does not equate with weakness, Shadow.” Her eyes dulled sadly. “I cannot kill you, but I will not let you kill me.” Before the words were completely out of her mouth she drew back, ignited her blade, and in three quick pivoting motions, sliced off his arms and legs. He cried out in agony and rage. She knew it might not kill him, nor eliminate him as a threat to her life, but it would slow him now so she could escape him. She turned, and in one Force jump, flew out the door.
You are a good writer! Maybe you should be an author when you grow up 😉
